Data Collection and Administration Assistance volunteer

Wheels for Winners is a 100% volunteer organization.

Use a basic spreadsheet to keep track of Wheels for Winners Bike Inventory. If you can use Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, we will train you in our processes!

Requires 10-12 hours per month in a combination of hours at the shop and work at home. Need to have your own computer and access to Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Google Drive a plus.

Compile data on:

  • Bikes donated to Wheels per month from monthly tally sheet.

  • Completed bike inventory (refurbished bikes that have passed Quality Control (QC) inspection) from log book.

  • Track bikes provided to earners from completed earner applications.

  • Keep all bike earner forms organized and available in upstairs office.

  • Collect the reviewed QC sheets from the basket, confirm that all the information has been filled out in the logbook, then discard the sheets.

  • Organize the files and paperwork in the upstairs office.

  • Keep track of inventory on bike helmets and locks given to earners with their bike. Communicate with the logistics volunteer to reorder based on agreed upon minimum inventory.

  • Annually, tally total volunteer hours and total number of bikes donated from monthly tracking sheets.

Update the inventory report below, from the above data, prior to board meetings, about 10 times per year.

Other

  • Keep roster of volunteers up-to-date, including their individual contact information.

  • Make sure all volunteers are on our internal email communication list.

  • Keep volunteer bike mechanic schedule up-to-date and post a new one in the shop when there are changes. 

Optional

  • Become a Wheels for Winners Bike Mechanic. No experience needed and we will train you. Mechanical aptitude and experience using household wrenches and screw drivers needed. Minimum two hours per week required.
