On Tuesday May 17th, we bought 20 bikes to Bayview Foundation for earners to select from. We ended up providing 9 bikes, 23 helmets, and 20 locks,. Seven bikes were also repaired. Here is Nadya who along with the other volunteers provided a gentle, caring touch working with the kids at Bayview as we fit people for bikes, repaired bikes, fit helmets to heads, and set combinations.
We are out in the community providing bike repairs and supporting riding events this spring and summer. Just one of many examples, we repaired 12 bikes and scooter at a April 29th event at Kennedy Heights.
We have had busy winter refurbishing bikes and are looking for donations of used bikes to continue to keep our volunteers working. Fully working bikes are ideal but we take bikes with broken or missing parts. We cannot accept bikes that are extensively rusted. Also we cannot take e-bikes.
