Wheels for Winners community-based repair events started in 2016
A survey identified a major barrier to cycling is people have a bike needing repair and they don’t know where to get it fixed, how to fix it, or cannot afford to get it fixed. This causes many children and adults to ride unsafe bikes or give up on bike riding.
As a solution, Wheels provides free, community-based repair events in spring, summer and fall. In 2023 we did 30 events fixing hundreds of bikes. We inspect and repair bikes for free, so they are rideable and safe!
