Bicycle/Race Ride & Book Talk featuring Adonia Lugo

Where: Goodman South Madison Library, 2222 S. Park St. Room 115

When: Saturday, August 3, 9 am to 1 pm

Family and community bike ride, festivities, and book talk with Adonia Lugo, author of Bicycle/Race: Transportation, Culture & Resistance.

9:00 am: Free helmet fitting & bike checks in the parking lot outside the library

10:00 am: neighborhood bike ride followed by free lunch

11:30 am: Locating Ourselves in Mobility Justice: Planning for Multiracial and Just Future Streets discussion with Adonia Lugo

Kennedy Heights Pride Ride - Friday, July 26, 2019 - 2pm

Join your neighbors and local community group leaders at Kennedy Heights Community Center for a slow, family-friendly afternoon bike ride through the north side! Food, water, and free bicycle repair will be provided. Come early for a cookout at 12:30pm, followed by a bike ride at 2:00pm. We will have children’s bicycles and helmets to lend. This event is hosted by the Kennedy Heights Community Center, WI Bike Fed, Northside Planning Council, and Wheels for Winners.

Pop-Up Bike Bar @ Short Stack Eatery

We are partnering with Short Stack Eatery again this year to help them kick off #BIKETOBRUNCH Week! Stop by for our second annual Pop-Up Bike Bar on Wednesday, May 22nd 4:30-7pm!

Wheels for Winners mechanics will be outside offering FREE safety checks & tune-ups! While your bike is getting worked on, head inside for cold beer and mini pies!
